Job Description
- Specialty: Psychiatrist
- Schedule: As soon as credentialed - December 31, 2026
- Shift Description: Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4 pm + one Sunday rotation every 6 weeks (less than 8 hours)
- Inpatient
- Shift Description: Coverage of patients in acute mental health units
- Type of patients/cases/procedures required: adults with acute mental health symptoms
- Current Incarceration Population: 1,800 patients in the entire jail
- Patient Encounters per shift: Average of 30 patients in the unit - not all patients need to be seen daily; based on acuity of needs
- Daytime Support: nursing, APP's and psychiatrists
- Certifications required (Board Certification/Truly Board Eligible or life support, etc.): Board eligible, BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Will you accept licensure candidates (IMLC or standard process): Yes
