Project Engineer (Mechatronics Engineer)

Tasks

The candidate will join the team of mechanical engineers and project engineers at the projects office in the transversal section of the engineering division, designing new mechanical and mechatronic components, devices and systems as part of the project. This project is aimed to carry out R&D on new devices that go beyond the current state of the art at ALBA, seeking for solutions that should suit new needs comming from the nanofocus beamlines in which nanopositioning and nanomotion will be required. The candidate will work in close cooperation with the engineers at the ALBA's nanomotion Lab. 

More specifically, main tasks will be:

- Mechanical design of the ultra high vacuum compatible mechanical components for nanomotion and nanopositioning using 3D CAD modelling and thermal simulations with ANSYS.

- Supervision and approval of the manufacturing documentation (2D drawings)

-Follow up of the manufacturing process.
