Production Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support production teams by interrogating and analysing train data systems (EMS, Rtd, RCM, OTMR) to deliver first‑time fixes.
• Capture and analyse defects as they are reported, helping to reduce incidents arising from maintenance activities.
• Work closely with Technical Services and the Performance Team to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions, including briefings, process improvements and best practices.
• Develop fault‑finding guides and support pre‑production/project activities.
• Coach and mentor engineers in advanced fault‑finding techniques during routine maintenance and when investigating repeat or complex defects.
• Use train data proactively to identify problem units before in‑service failure, raise work reports and define scopes of work where required.
