Primary Responsibilities
- **Releasing work orders**:based material requirements planning suggestion (MRP), as well as tracking work in progress (WIP) to ensure jobs are on track.
- **Create production plans**: develop detailed daily or weekly production schedules specifying what products are made, in what quantity and on which line or machine.
- **Expediting and prioritization**: handling urgent customer orders by inserting them into the schedule, which often requires re-prioritizing existing schedule.
- **Shortages management**: identifying material shortages that could halt production and working with procurement (buyers/Internal Suppliers) to expedite deliveries.
- **Bill of material (BOM) verification**: ensuring the current backflush locations are correct and type of materials are allocated to each job.
