The Department of Chemistry and Polymer Science at Stellenbosch University is one of the largest departments in the Faculty of Science, comprising 23 academic staff and 22 support personnel across five buildings on campus. The department offers an active undergraduate teaching programme and a comprehensive postgraduate research programme, serving around 100 enrolled postgraduate students. As a Principal Technical Assistant, the incumbent will provide technical and administrative support to academic staff and students within one of the department’s three support hubs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting and assisting the Principal Technical Officer.
• Assisting in various undergraduate courses, particularly with the preparation of undergraduate practicals and the housekeeping (cleaning) of laboratories.
