Principal Product Engineer

Job Description

The Networking and Connectivity Solutions Business Unit within Microchip is looking for a Principal Product Engineer to drive all facets of Product Support and Supply Chain Improvements. This is a key position within a growth business unit at Microchip.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues that are technical (fab, packaging, test) and non-technical (supply chain, system related)
• Drive all aspects of foundry and assembly migrations/qualifications
• Be the key Business Unit representative in Asia to provide real‑time support and guidance to various teams in the time zone
• Focus on key customer shortages and drive tactical and strategic improvements to supply chain
• Handle long‑term customer change management (PCNs/PPAPs/Qualification Data) as the supply chain evolves
