SAIC is seeking a Modeling Engineer-Scientist to support the Next Generation Submarine Battery program in Crane, IN.
Responsibilities:
+ Develop, enhance, and validate thermal and electrochemical models to support battery system design and performance assessment
+ Apply MATLAB for model development, simulation, and analysis
+ Support modeling activities related to multi‑physics interactions within NiZn, Lead‑Acid, and Lithium battery systems
+ Assist with developing complex thermal and electrochemical models
**Qualifications**
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific discipline and nine (9) years of experience; Master's degree and seven (7) years of experience; PhD and four (4) years of experience
+ Experience with thermal modeling
+ Proficiency in MATLAB
