**Job Description**
The Press Operator I is responsible for running a brake press or automatic press, with assistance, to produce parts that meet specifications and productivity standards. This role includes support functions for automatic presses such as inspecting and boxing parts. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
**Responsibilities**
+ Produce parts to meet customer specifications for quality and quantity.
+ Update the production log daily.
+ Perform and document preventive maintenance of dies.
+ Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and orderly condition while following safety regulations.
+ Inspect parts during production for scratches, scores, or dings; report quality issues to the Stampings Supervisor or Quality Manager.
+ Replace details as necessary to ensure good quality parts are produced.
