To be an active member of the team within Blood Sciences, working with biomedical scientists, medical staff, Associate Practitioners and other biomedical assistants (BMA) in a flexible manner to support the function of the process. It is assumed that a person employed at level 2 is competent in tasks associated with the level one role. Also the tasks undertaken by a BMA grade 2 involve a higher level of complexity and a requirement for more knowledge, understanding and using initiative to prioritise the work. This role is 24/7 and can include weekends and night working.
