Join Qualus as an Electrical Designer for power systems, based in Calgary or Vancouver. Your role will span the design of low and high voltage substations, ensuring project success from start to finish.
This position requires a proactive Electrical Designer familiar with both conceptual and construction phases of projects. Responsibilities involve load calculations for substations, developing control designs, and managing project documentation. Success in this role depends on your ability to meet compliance standards and collaborate effectively with various teams.
Key Responsibilities: • Execute designs for 12 kV to 500 kV substations • Coordinate AC & DC low voltage calculations • Maintain security and fire protection design standards • Conduct document reviews with engineers • Prepare material take-offs and procurement requests
