Job Description
The Compact Objects Group of the Department of Theoretical Physics at the Complutense University of Madrid welcomes applications from interested early-career candidates for a 2‑year+ postdoctoral position in the group, to start on 1 October 2026.
The group consists of Fech Scen Khoo, Jose Luis Blázquez‑Salcedo, Luis Manuel González‑Romero, Francisco Navarro‑Lérida, and PhD students.
The main working objectives for the position entail:
Obtain stationary solutions for compact objects such as black holes, wormholes, and neutron stars in alternative gravity theories, and study the properties of those compact objects.
Study the properties of gravitational waves of compact objects in alternative gravity theories.
Desired qualities:
Experience with analytical and numerical methods.
Related international publications.
Research stays outside of home university with resulted publication(s).
