Policy Planner

Overview

The Senior Policy Planner will be a full‑time member of the Planning Policy team within the Place, Planning & Growth directorate of Maldon District Council. The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of two days in the office per week, with occasional evening appointments as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and review planning policy across the district.
• Conduct research and analysis to support the development of key policies and evidence bases.
• Assist in the production of policies, reports and other publications.
• Support consultation and public engagement activities.
• Provide advice to Parish Councils on neighbourhood plans.
• Manage Section 106 agreements and undertaking monitoring activities.
• Compile the Authority Monitoring Report (AMR).
