The Plant Superintendent is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all manufacturing activities to ensure operations perform at optimum productivity, achieving profitability and cost-improvement objectives. This role leads efforts to drive continuous plant improvement, emphasizing customer quality and service while enhancing the plant's competitive financial position.
The Plant Superintendent will:
- Provide direction to the Production Manager and Finished Products Manager on goals and expectations for safety, quality, productivity and costs. Direction must be aligned with the Plant Manager and with the organization
- Direct or assist in formulation, initiation, and administration of plant's production and finished products policies and procedures. Ensure regular follow-up and make recommendations relative to changes in policies or procedures.
