Job Description
Overview The City of Richmond is currently looking to hire a Regular Full-Time Planner Analyst to join our Building Approvals team. This position involves 40% statistical analyses, 30% policy and procedure analyses and 30% permit review. The Planning Analyst will provide professional research, data management, GIS and analytical services to Building Approvals and community partners.
Examples of key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare, administer and implement annual department research, data management and GIS work programs and budgets
Gather, analyze, explain and disseminate a wide range of federal, provincial, regional, municipal, institutional and private sector statistical demographic and land use data.
Manage annual information requirements.
Perform advanced statistical and building typology analysis utilizing application related material, environmental information, spatial growth patterns (e.g., OCP, regional plan...
