A Picker is responsible for selecting and collecting products or materials from warehouse shelves according to orders or shipment requirements. Major responsibilities include:
- Reading and understanding pick lists or order sheets
- Locating items in the warehouse efficiently
- Picking the correct quantity and quality of items
- Ensuring items are properly handled to avoid damage
- Placing picked items in designated containers or areas for packing/shipping
- Reporting any discrepancies or stock shortages
