Job Description
The Medical Physicist provides technical assistance in the development of treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy; maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality measurement, and safety. Typically works in the radiation oncology department and monitors equipment for quality assurance/control, therapeutic application of radiation treatment for patients.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Physics or related science preferred
+ Master's Degree in Medical Physics, with a background in radiation physics preferred
+ State License or Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifics
+ One (1) year of experience in a hospital radiation oncology or radiology department preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
