**PhD Position Investigating Mechanobiology in the Heart**
Applications are invited for a 3-year PhD position investigating how cardiac muscle cells (cardiomyocytes) sense mechanical signals, and how these pathways control the cell’s structure and function. Based on these insights, the project will seek to understand how mechanical overload in diseases such as heart failure can be therapeutically targeted. The position will be based at the Institute for Experimental Medical Research (IEMR) located at Oslo University Hospital.
IEMR is an innovative and dynamic medical research environment that conducts research focused on understanding the basic mechanisms of cardiac (patho)physiology.
