Pharmacy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Accurately label and package medications for customers.
• Manage inventory by stocking shelves, ordering supplies, and monitoring expiration dates.
• Provide information to customers about over-the-counter medications and general health inquiries.
• Process prescriptions and insurance claims using pharmacy software.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy area, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Respond to customer inquiries and direct complex questions to the pharmacist.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as recordkeeping, managing cash registers, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (certification as a pharmacy technician is a plus).
