Pharmacy Assistant - Antrim

Job Overview

Immediate start. Temporary 6‑month contract at Antrim Area Hospital. Monday–Friday 8:45am–5pm. Pay: £12.71 per hour. This role offers the possibility of extension depending on business needs and is a great opportunity to gain experience in a busy hospital pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and shelve pharmacy items.
• Accurately record delivery documentation on the JAC system.
• Prepare regular orders, manage stock rotation, and monitor expiry dates.
• Assemble and issue daily ward orders.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (Grades A*–G) or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above.
• May be required to undertake the Pearson Level2 Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff.
