As a member of the Alberta Health Services Pharmacy Services team, the Pharmacist I will provide high quality direct patient care for acute care and consultative care for patients in the emergency department. This position clinically supports Edson patients. The Pharmacist I supports drug distribution functions with the technician and/or assistant team at the site. The Pharmacist will also actively participate in interdisciplinary patient care teams and rounds; collaborate with patients, physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care; utilize Additional Prescribing Authorization to optimize patient medication regimens; optimize therapy for acute and chronic disease management; empower patients in managing their medical conditions through promotion of healthy lifestyle choices, education and direct patient care; facilitate smooth transitions between care settings; actively participate in professional practice development and growth wi...
