Job Description
As a member of the Alberta Health Services Pharmacy Services team, the Pharmacist I will provide high quality direct patient care for acute care and LTC beds as well as consultative care for patients in the emergency department. This position clinically supports both Barrhead and Westlock patients and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care using Additional Prescribing Authorization to improve therapy for acute and chronic disease management.
Description
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services, manage medication therapy for patients—initially and ongoing—and provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug‑related problems, including oversight of compounding and packaging activities.
