Job Description
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician who reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering prescriptions accurately and on time, maintaining adequate inventory, counseling patients, and providing a friendly, positive experience to internal and external customers.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients
- Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplement inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs
- Provide counseling to patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, pro‑active manner
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations activities (public health days, clinics, etc.)
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patients’ needs and doctor requests/issues
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)
