Overview
Position: Personal Support Worker (PSW) — Temporary Full-Time for approximately 3 months, with possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the nursing process by observing and reporting changes in residents' physical and emotional condition; provide input into the care plan and implement the guidelines in the plan.
- Adhere to the legislation, standards, policies and procedures of the LTC Home.
- Deliver personal care to promote comfort and safety for residents during activities of daily living in accordance with resident care standards.
- Provide cognitive, social and emotional support to residents; promote independence in activities of daily living.
- Respect residents' individual rights and choices; uphold dignity and privacy.
