Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

Personal Assistant to a 19‑year‑old male adult with learning disabilities and cerebral palsy, based in the Tow Law area – Bishop Auckland, DL13.

Responsibilities

• Assist with getting around and maintain client safety when out and about independently.
• Prepare food while caring for the client.
• Liaise with the client’s family to plan activities and provide updates.
• Help the client manage money and promote community safety.

Requirements

• 20 hours per week over a 4‑week period; days and times will be confirmed and arranged in advance with mutual discretion.
• Valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Experience with the local area (Durham and surrounding regions).
• Pet friendly; willing to work with pets.
• DBS check is required.
• Knowledge of local community resources and practices.
