I am both the employer and mother to my son who has Autism (ASD), PICA and is nonverbal. I am seeking a PA to provide my son with 1-1 support to access social activities within the community and provide me with a break from my caring role.
Role Overview
The successful personal assistant will support my son in accessing new activities and experiences in the local community, develop his social skills, build confidence, and provide personal care when required.
Responsibilities
- Support and/or prompt with personal care (e.g., toileting, showering/bathing, getting in/out of bed, dressing).
- Assist the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
