Positioning
Within the Technical Department of the Hermès Leather Goods Division, the Prototype Maker is attached to the Goldsmiths' Office. They report to the Head of the Metallic Materials Models Unit. Scope
Each year, the Prototype Makers at the Goldsmiths' Office produce over 1200 metal prototypes of all categories (clasps, locks, carabiners, belt buckles, bracelets, etc.). The development time for a project varies from a few hours to several weeks depending on its complexity. Dimensions of the role
Constant interactions and exchanges with all teams of the Goldsmiths' Office and occasionally with the Trade teams (Collection, development) as well as with our various partners. Purpose of the role
The Prototype Maker ensures the end-to-end production of functional and industrialisable metal parts for all collections and out-of-collection requests, respecting the given deadlines. Main activities
