Join an inclusive service providing accessible non-clinical wellbeing support to the Ipswich and Somerset communities. Our Distress Brief Pilot Program offers short term, appointment-based peer support and warm referrals to adults experiencing various levels of distress.
As a Peer Worker, you’ll draw on your own lived or living experience of mental health challenges and recovery to provide compassionate, trauma-informed support. You will assist in generating a holistic view of consumer’s circumstances to better understand the sources of their distress to identify connections and relationships that can best support them. Your unique insights will help foster trust, inspire hope and promote growth, both for our consumers and for you.
A personal lived experience of mental health challenges and personal recovery is an essential requirement for this role.
