Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support the end-to-end payroll process for a large workforce across Canada. This role is a 6 month contract located hybrid on Oakville, Ontario. 

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while also helping support internal teams, answer payroll inquiries, and contribute to continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities

Process full-cycle, biweekly payroll for thousands of employees across multiple regions.

Ensure payroll data is accurate and complete, including time tracking, bonuses, vacation pay, retroactive adjustments, and other earnings.

Work with HR to confirm proper documentation and approvals are in place.

Resolve employee questions related to pay, deductions, and payroll policies.

Analyze payroll reports, run queries, and help with reconciliations and audits.
