About the Position

The Scottsdale’s Parks and Recreation Department oversees a wide variety of parks, recreation programs, facilities, special events, and public open spaces, all aligned with our mission of creating remarkable recreation places and experiences that support a healthy, inclusive, and active community. The department manages 45 parks, over 1,000 acres of open space, sports complexes, community centers, urban lakes, Scottsdale Stadium, Scottsdale Civic Center, and the maintenance of Old Town Scottsdale. Our new Parks & Recreation Manager will oversee the maintenance of Scottsdale Civic Center, Old Town Scottsdale, the department’s citywide irrigation systems, contracts and procurement for the Parks and Recreation Department, and maintenance of citywide medians and rights-of-way.
