Paramedic
Paramedics serve as the primary provider of emergency medical care and transportation for ill and injured persons in the pre-hospital environment.
Reports to: Supervisor, EMS
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Functions as a sole First Responder Paramedic and as an integral member of an EMS ambulance crew
- Safely and expeditiously responds to the scene of the request for EMS assistance
- Evaluates the patient(s), communicates the patient's illness or injury according to established medical protocols and pre-hospital standards of care
- Safely transports the patient to the receiving facility, and accurately completes all related documentation
- Ensures that all equipment and supplies are present and in working order at the assigned station and/or EMS vehicle
- All other assigned duties related to EMS
