Job Description
The Resort Municipality of Osoyoos is hiring a Water/Wastewater Operator II, crucial for maintaining wastewater systems while ensuring water and stormwater integrity.
In this full-time role, you will report to the Utilities Supervisor and take on supervisory functions alongside fellow operators. The candidate needs EOCP certifications in both water and wastewater frameworks, plus a BC driver's licence. You will also participate in emergency response rotations for community safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain wastewater infrastructure efficiently
• Lead and support a team of operators
• Act promptly in emergency situations
• Conduct routine inspections and system monitoring
• Uphold safety and compliance standards
Requirements:
• EOCP Level 2 Water Distribution and Wastewater certifications
• BCWWA Chlorine Handler Credential
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence
