Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a OPTICAL INSTRUMENT REPAIRER, Position Description Number D1211000 and is part of the ME CSMS, National Guard. Responsibilities This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The primary purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, and inspections on optical and non-optical precision instruments and related devices DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (1) Repairs, modifies, overhauls, inspects, troubleshoots, tests, adjusts, and cleans the optics and supporting mechanical and electrical elements of complex panoramic telescopes. These contain offset prism assemblies, fire control instruments and a wide variety of less complex instruments and devices such as transits, theodolites, aiming circles, binoculars, searchlights, gunner's quadrants, compasses, periscopes, telescopes, and mounts, surveying set...
