Job Description
Gain hands-on optical engineering experience in Ottawa as an Optical Engineer Co-op Intern. Work on innovative projects involving optical design, testing, and simulation tools over a 12 to 16 month term.
This position requires candidates currently enrolled in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution, ideally in their 3rd year of an Engineering program. You will develop optical design and simulation tools, characterize fiber optics, and assemble optical modules. Collaborate with experienced engineers while enhancing your skills in optics and photonics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop optical design and simulation tools
• Characterize and test fiber optics performance
• Assemble and align optical modules with precision
• Design and build optical test setups creatively
• Run optical simulations on diffractive elements
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution
• 3rd year Engineering student (Electrical, Physics, or related)
