Operator – Water Services
(Full-Time, Permanent)
As a Water Services Operator you “Take Care of Banff” by ensuring the quality of our water and wastewater systems is exceptional. As part of this team, you will get to know our town’s infrastructure from the inside out! You will interact with residents, business owners and contractors who rely on the condition of that infrastructure and expect our water supply to be clean and safe.
In this role, your daily work will directly impact our community’s health and safety. You will operate, maintain, and repair the potable water distribution system, pump stations, and wastewater collection systems. Typical duties include monitoring and sampling for water quality, flushing hydrants, flushing/jetting sanitary and storm sewer lines, and responding to system alarms. You will also perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, valves, hydrants, and lift stations to ensure peak performance.
