Job Description
Scope of Work
Under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, provides occupational therapy services to patients/clients to assist in improving basic motor functions, reasoning abilities, compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching patients/clients to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. May provide treatment to patients/clients with cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction and physical disability. Assists with patient/clients and caregiver education.
Standard Qualifications
+ Associate's Degree accredited therapy assistant program (Required)
+ Therapy assistance experience (Preferred)
+ Experience in neurological injury, TBI, and Spinal Cord injury (based on Spectrum Health entity) (Preferred)
+ Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified (COTA) - NB-COT National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Upon Hire (Required)<...
