The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible to make a compelling difference in the lives of our residents providing excellence and innovation in aging services. As part of the interdisciplinary team the OT promotes and maintains the functional performance, physical mobility and well being of the residents through the implementation of occupational therapy services. The OT develops and implements medically prescribed Occupational Therapy in the health center and rehabilitation center to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body function. The OT directs resident participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. The OT demonstrates ability to adapt examination techniques and treatment plans according to the needs of the resident. Demonstrates optimal case management of residents.
