Long Term Occasional Teaching Position

1.0 FTE Indigenous Language Teacher at St. David

This assignment is being posted subsequent to Article 17.1.3 The Hiring of Occasional Teachers to Long Term Assignments found in the Central Terms of the Board’s collective agreements with OECTA. The end date is subject to change, however, this assignment will not extend beyond the end of the current school year.

Essential Qualifications

• Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
• Qualifications in Primary and Junior Divisions
• Native as a Second Language (NSL) qualification or equivalent
• Knowledge of the Ojiwbe language
• Knowledge of current Ministry initiatives
• Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written
