Nurse Practitioner Icu Team
The Practitioner, is a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) who provides acute care to the patients in the Critical Care Unit (ICU). The NP works in collaboration with the Intensivist and the multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care and treatment to patients within the ICU Scope.
Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:
- Fulfills all functions afforded to the advanced practice nurse
- Functions within hospital written policies and delineated privileges
- Assesses ICU patients using advanced knowledge and skill to identify abnormal conditions; Identifies health problems; develops and implements treatment plans in collaboration with the medical director. Evaluates patient outcomes and collaborates with other practitioners in managing care.
