Nuclear Medicine Technologist

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a full time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our float pool team at Heartplace in the Dallas, TX area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patient.
• Administers all in-office nuclear tests.
• Images, processes, and formats images for physician interpretation.
• Maintains cleanliness of nuclear room.
• Documents test results to physicians and patients, as directed by physician.
• Verifies patient appointments the day before, to ensure use of isotope.
• Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing, i.e., do not take any medication 24 hours prior to visit.
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist physicians as needed.
