NUCLEAR MECHANICAL INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR I (SHIPS)

Summary You will serve as a NUCLEAR MECHANICAL INSPECTOR (SHIPS) SUPERVISOR I in the NUCLEAR INSPECTION DIVISION of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will head the inspection unit (e.g. shift of submarine overhaul work or receipt inspection group). You will be responsible for the overall production, safety and efficiency of the subordinate members of the working unit. You will assure that personnel are sufficiently trained in the processes and responsibilities of nuclear quality control to certify that specifications are adhered to. You will plan the units work on a one to two week basis and sequences the action events as they occur. You will identify and resolve problems as they arise. You will define quality standards and modify plans, assignments or methods as necessary.
