Job Summary

Assemble, install and repair boilers, tanks, pressure vessels and related systems using metalworking and welding techniques. Interpret drawings and specifications, perform inspections and testing, and maintain safe working practices on job sites.

Main Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and work orders to plan fabrication and installation tasks
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble metal components using welding, riveting, bolting and thermal cutting methods
• Install and align boilers, tanks, pressure vessels and associated piping and structural supports
• Perform nondestructive testing, pressure testing and visual inspections to verify integrity and compliance
• Maintain and repair existing equipment, replacing worn parts and performing scheduled maintenance
