Job Summary

Provide clinical and technical support for animal patients in a veterinary setting. Perform diagnostic testing, patient monitoring, and client education to support veterinary care.

Main Duties

• Assist veterinarians during physical examinations, surgical procedures and dental treatments.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia and analgesia under the direction of a veterinarian.
• Collect, label and process diagnostic samples and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Monitor hospitalized patients, record observations, and carry out prescribed treatments and medications.
• Communicate with clients regarding preventive care, treatment plans and post-procedure instructions.
• Maintain medical records, sterilize instruments, and manage clinic supplies and inventory.
