Job Description
Become a vital part of AIRIS, focusing on NLP, Mechanistic Interpretability, and Trustworthy Generative AI in Biomedical Research. Contribute to innovative methodologies within a dynamic academic environment.
We are searching for a Research Associate to push forward the Horizon Europe project at the Department of Computer Science and the National Centre for Text Mining. Candidates are encouraged to bring diverse experiences, with expertise in NLP and LLMs vital. The role involves developing biomedical NLP methods and extracting knowledge from scientific literature for causal modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop NLP methods for mechanism extraction in biomedicine
• Extract entities, events, and causal claims from literature
• Build evidence pipelines linking text to biomedical ontologies
• Assess AI-generated hypotheses for uncertainty and explainability
• Publish and present research findings in academic venues
