Newly Qualified Social Worker (ASYE)

Job Overview

BCP Council is recruiting final year and newly qualified social workers for three roles in the Assessment Team, Children in Care Team, and Child Health and Disability Team as part of its ASYE programme. Eligible candidates are those completing a final statutory placement or having qualified within the last two years and still completing the assessed year of employment.

Assessment Team Responsibilities

• Complete single assessments within statutory time‑scales.
• Manage ongoing assessments from referral through to case closure.
• Facilitate family network meetings and promote positive change.
• Support the transition of cases to other teams as required.

Children in Care Team Responsibilities

• Partner with carers, families and agencies to develop and review care plans.
• Ensure children receive a high standard of care and support.
