Network Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

As a Network Infrastructure Engineer you will join the Edge Platform team that oversees planning, building, maintaining, and operating Akamai’s global platform. The role focuses on ensuring reliable availability and optimal performance of the network infrastructure that supports Akamai’s products.

Responsibilities

• Managing remote hardware assets and troubleshooting issues remotely
• Watching alarms from servers, routers, switches, and operating systems
• Responding to alerts according to SLA and determining severity
• Supporting the resolution of high‑severity technical incidents
• Designing, developing, and maintaining alerts and runbooks to improve fault detection and operational visibility
• Installing, configuring, and optimizing network infrastructure while developing operational tools, automation, and technical documentation to support it effectively and efficiently
