Monitor - Playground/Cafeteria

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, incumbents provide for the safety of students on playgrounds, buses, street crossings, lunchrooms, hallways, and other school property by enforcing school rules and policies pertaining to student behavior. Incumbents may serve in one or more of these areas and may be exposed to extreme temperatures when working outside.

Required Qualifications

• Must receive CPR certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.).
• One year of remedial program experience.
• One year of curriculum, instruction and assessment program experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Working with children.
• Identifying and responding to hazardous situations.
