Job Description
Summary:Responsible for assisting and directing activities in the Mold PM area that will deliver timely and efficient preventive maintenance and repair of production molds, dies, tools, and fixtures.
Mold PM Tech Responsibilities:-Perform work within the preventive maintenance program once a mold is finished running or after a certain number of cycles.-Wash mold with safety solvent to remove varnish and build-up from the molding process.-Replace bent, worn, or broken injector pins. Inspect ejector system for proper alignment. Determine if injector pin holes need re-drilled and bored to a larger size, and the existing pins replaced with over size pins.-Worn leader pins, bushings, and all bearing moving surfaces should be checked for wear and replaced/repaired as required.-Clean and lubricant moving components in open and closed positions to prevent corrosion and wear.
