Employer Description Our client is a precision engineering manufacturer. Job Description Set up and operate horizontal and vertical boring mills (manual and CNC). Perform precision boring, drilling, facing, and threading operations Select, mount, and maintain appropriate tooling and cutting inserts. Adjust feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters for different materials (steel, stainless steel, cast iron). Conduct preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of boring mills. Ensure dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements are met. Maintain accurate inspection and job records. Assist in continuous improvement of machining processes. Mentorship of junior machinists and apprentices. Qualifications Matric Skills Minimum 5 year of experience in a Machine shop and Engineering environment Proficient use of precision measuring instruments (inside micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators) Knowledge of large component machine and fixturing methods Ability to wor...
