Job Description
Excel as a mining site equipment mechanic, responsible for ensuring operational reliability of machinery. This role requires you to perform inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on a range of equipment under demanding conditions.
Reporting to the foreman, you will manage both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues in mobile and stationary equipment, carrying out repairs, and maintaining an organized workshop environment. Collaboration with various teams for operational support and safety is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures
• Oversee inspection and start-up of new equipment
• Manage welding and repair projects
• Use CMMS for maintaining equipment records
Requirements:
• DEP in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics or equivalent
• 3–5 years in equipment maintenance, particularly in mining
