Purpose
Providing direction and support to the operations group to help achieve and surpass the mine’s safety and production targets and to add value to the operation. Plans sequence of mining activities, provides mine schedule and track development and progress to ensure monthly forecast is achieved. Identifies and mitigates potential and actual problems on a continuous basis and ensures alternatives are available to offset impact.
Responsibilities
- Schedule mining activities for each heading to ensure stopes are ready for production on time.
- Review plans and designs to ensure they are safe, cost-effective and provide efficient ore extraction with available resources.
- Optimize production and minimize dilution through sequencing of all critical tasks.
